Malaysia ready to re-open probe of missing MH370 if new evidence emerges | The World
Almost exactly a decade after the disappearance of Malaysia airlines flight MH370, a fresh search could be launched with a US tech firm proposing an expanded exploration from where it first searched in 2018. The Boeing 777 with 239 people on board vanished shortly after taking off from Kuala Lumpur on March 8, 2014. Editor-in-Chief of AirlineRatings.com Geoffrey Thomas tells The World’s Yvonne Yong the new research being proposed would extend 83km from the last known location of the aircraft.

Malaysia open to re-investigating MH370 disappearance, says Anwar
During a joint press conference with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in Melbourne on Monday (March 4), Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said Malaysia is willing to re-open an investigation into one of the world's greatest aviation mysteries, the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines MH370 in 2014, if there is compelling new evidence.
Malaysia, along with Australia and China, ended in January 2017 a fruitless two-year, US$130mil underwater hunt for the Boeing 777 that vanished with 239 aboard on March 8, 2014.
